Watch the video or read the text; the same information, your preference.
I’ve seen a bunch of sites out there that guarantee to win at chess.
They often give a bunch of the different ways they promise to improve your game, like, “developing your pieces early (you won’t believe what this will do to your game).” They draw people in by promising things like “you’ll practically be forced to win” and providing a laundry list of the lessons they’ll teach you.
I admit, a lot of them look convincing, so it’s easy to see how someone could buy these programs. However, that is one of the biggest wastes of money out there. I’m writing this post not because I want to flame anyone or want to get ahead in the competition, but because these sites are scams, and I don’t want you to be had and given bad chess tips.
Their Claims
The following are actual quotes, not distorted at all or taken out of context:
“Once you learn the tricks I learned, you’ll practically be forced to win.”
“How To Win Chess Every Time…”
I’ll be blunt; these are lies. It’s understood that sales pages can be a little hyped, but when lies like that are given, we have to question the product.
These claims are not only lies; they’re impossible. Nobody has ever won every game, or played all their games with ease. There are certain principles you can follow that increase your chances of winning, but following those principles can be quite difficult for a human, as well as our analysis can easily be off, and we make mistakes.
Their Content
Okay, so fine, they may have hyped sales pages but still good content. That occasionally happens.
As I didn’t want to shell out the money for these products, I read their sales pages for the kind of services they claimed to offer.
What did I find?
It was simple information. It was targeted for beginners. It may be of some value to them, but the information was extremely basic. I give basic information on this site, so why don’t I like what they’re doing.
The basic information I give on this site can easily be found out, so I give it for free. These people give information that can be found on the internet, by asking anyone of reasonable chess strength, and really pretty much anyone knows the information that they offer, so charging for it is simply a scam. If you buy this, you’re getting had.
They give information like how to activate your pieces, develop, and castle at the opportune time. Information that can be learned easily. What I’m saying is; it’s not worth paying for.
How is my Site Different?
You may say, “you’re just trying to flame your competitors” or “your site is no different.”
I said it at the beginning of the post and I’ll say it again; I’m writing this article because I don’t want you wasting your money. It wouldn’t even help me to stop the other sites because most would never fall for something like that, but because it’s aimed at beginner’s, I just felt it would be beneficial to you to warn you of what is going on.
Why is my site different than the sites I talk about in this post? I do not charge for my information (although I may write books/make DVDs in the future), and I give you value. I am one of the top ranked chess players for my age in the world. I give you comprehensive tips that you can’t find elsewhere on the web, that are helpful and will help you win games.
The other sites are just made of basic information that almost everyone knows and is easy to find out. Not only that, but they charge for it.
So please, do not buy these scams.
